National Micro Finance Bank will open its Arochukwu Branch officially on 23rd December 2019. The official opening ceremony will be conducted by a CBN deputy governor who incidentally is our own brother, Dr O J Nnanna. National Micro Finance bank project is a brain child of both CBN and Nigerian Bankers Committee. It is expected to be opened, one each, in all the 577 Local Government Areas in Nigeria. But Arochukwu has the privilege of being among the first batch of 59 units that will be used as special pilot projects for the all others. Thanks to our brother Dr O J Nnanna who sits at the deciding table and who helped to get our own share to be among the first set. The bank will help bring faster Economic development and Empowerment to Arochukwu community and the LGA in general. The bank will be granting interest subsidized loans to qualified desiring business people and entrepreneurs at a single interest rate of not more than 9% per annum. Those in Agriculture value chain businesses and other relevant economic catalyst businesses may get up to N10 million loan each at that 9% per annum interest. A lot of our micro and macro business people in our villages shall surely benefit from this special project. Let us all therefore become self appointed ambassadors of this novel project to ensure that a lot of our rural people key into it faster and enjoy all the benefits from it while respecting all the rules governing the operations of the bank. The bank is located at the old Post Office site in Barraki area Arochukwu for proximity to all the communities in Aro LGA and in conformity with the decision of the bank owners. More better things are coming. Let us continue to contribute positively, our individual quotas in our different areas of specialties that God has blessed us with, for the development of our ancestral home Arochukwu.
