Nigerian music star, Wizkid bagged a double nominations in the 2022 Grammy Awards.
This comes after he won one with a feature with the legendary Beyoncé on “Brown Skin girl” in 2021.
Wizkid, Femi Kuti, Burna Boy, Terms, and Angelique Kidjo were all nominated for Best Global Music Performance at the Grammy Awards.
The Grammys nominated the Nigerian Afrobeat Star’s album Made In Lagos for Best Global Music Album.
His rivals include Femi Kuti and Made Kuti’s Legacy + album, Mother Nature by Angelique Kidjo, and Voice of Bunbon Volume I by Rocky Dawumi.
African Giant Burna Boy also fetched a nomination in the 2022 Grammy Awards. He was nominated in the Best Global Music Performance category for his collaboration with Angelique Kidjo alongside Femi Kuti’s Pa Pa Pa and Wizkid and Terms song Essence.

Wizkid’s nomination for the 2022 Grammy Awards is one among the singer’s most prominent accomplishments of 2017. At the 2021 MTV Europe Music Awards, he took up the Best African Act honors with his performance (MTV EMA).
His Made in Lagos album, which featured the smash song “Essence” starring Terms, was also a worldwide success.
The singer was also nominated for Best African Music Act and Best International Act at the MOBO Awards in the UK in 2021.
