MAN ARRESTED FOR IMPREGNANTING HIS 19YRS DAUGHTER

Oladapo, 43, was detained

by Ogun State Police Command officers after he impregnated his 19-year-old biological daughter and threatened to kill her if she ever revealed his extramarital affairs to anybody.

One Ms. Oluwatoyin Idowu, a divorcee and mother of two, was also involved in the incident that took place in Mowe, Obafemi-Owode local government area of the State. She alerted the police to the incident when her only son, Michael, was about to be implicated in the case.

After her mother's breakup with the suspect in February 2022, the 19-year-old girl moved in with her father, Abiodun, according to information obtained by LEADERSHIP.

According to the police, Abiodun allegedly instructed his daughter to blame Michael Idowu, Mrs. Idowu's sole son, who had only had sexual contact with the victim three months prior, for the pregnancy after learning that the victim was five months pregnant for him.

Infuriated by the event, Ms. Idowu allegedly probed her son "and learned that the victim was not telling the truth" before reporting the incident to the police at the Mowe Divisional Police Headquarters.

Abiodun's arrest was confirmed by the Police Command's Public Relations Officer (PPRO), Abimbola Oyeyemi, who also revealed that the victim (name withheld) had told the police that although Michael Idowu had slept with her in December 2022, it was actually Abiodun who had caused her to become pregnant.

She continued by saying that her father had been having affairs with her since February 2022 and had threatened to kill her if she ever told anyone.

"When she confessed, SP Folake Afeniforo, the Divisional Police Officer (D.P.O) in charge of the Mowe Division, sent detectives after the randy father, who was later detained. The guy admitted to the crime during questioning but put the blame on the devil.

The suspect, who had long ago split up with the victim's mother, was given custody of the girl after her mother got remarried, and they have been cohabitating ever since, according to the PPRO.

However, SP Oyeyemi revealed that Frank Mba, the police commissioner, has ordered the suspect to be sent to the State Criminal Investigation and Intelligence Department (SCIID) for additional investigation and potential prosecution.
